5 Famous Graphic Designers
While Forward Motion Studios is known for it’s graphic design work in Northern California, we haven’t yet published a book on design, or started jet-setting with the international art scene. Sometimes we like to show that we aren’t full of cynicism and rancor towards those designers that have gained international fame for their work.
To prove that disdainful is not our middle name, we are naming our top five favorite designers.
They are (not in any particular order) -
Mark Boulton
A graphic designer living in South Wales, UK who runs the design studio, Mark Boulton Design. His clients range from heavyweights such as ESPN, Warner Bros, BBC, British Energy to Drupal. He also runs a small publishing imprint, Five Simple Steps, where we publish practical design books for the web community.
Pete Rossi
A graphic designer who resides in Glasgow where he freelances for El Studio. His work has been posted on design blogs such as, FFF, Grafikcache, Thinking for a living, Bitique, The Magenta Links, Dirty Mouse and Buro-Gds.
Randa Clay
A graphic designer who runs the design Studio, Randa Clay Design out of Dallas Texas. Her background also includes analyzing marketing initiatives for brands, such as The Limited, Victoria’s Secret, Goody’s, and Express.
Leslie David
A Paris-based freelance graphic designer who acquired an appreciation for the fashion world while she worked at Petronio Associates and Self Service Magazine.
Scott Hansen
A designer and creator of ISO50, based out of San Francisco. He originally started his ISO50 site to house my design work in a portfolio format but over the years morphed to encompass a shop, clothing line, and blog.
We’re absolutely certain there is more famous graphic designers in the world. Regardless, the purpose of this list is to introduce some top designers we feel deserve special recognition by us. Apologies to anyone who felt they should be on the list. We’d like to think some of our work could be featured here too.
Maybe we’ll just have to do another list.
